For days and days after that nothing happened, except one day when Moon saw Maddie shifting a bit. She grinned and started shrieking and jumping up and down, like Maddie moving a bit was the most interesting thing ever.

Maddie's eyes finally opened. Well, one eye, because one was still black. She smiled weakly. "Hey."
"You're awake!" Moon squeaked. She hugged Maddie, until Maddie mumbled: "Crushing...me..."
"Sorry." Moon said, letting go.

"Yes." Moon grinned.
"Great." Maddie said. She touched her eye, and smiled. "Awesome sauce. I got a black eye!"

"Yeah! Now I can wear an eye patch and be a pirate!!"
