Maddie slowly lifted hand and tried reaching out, to anything that might see her and call for help. But it was no use. Maddie waited for a minute, trying to gather strength.
"Anyone!! Help!" Maddie barely yelled.
She prayed for a reply.

Percy still didn't move. He looked around, but everything was blurry. He was drained of energy, and he couldn't move.

Maddie lifted her head, and saw Percy. She weakly lifted her arms, and pulled herself with a tree branch. She very slowly rose to her feet. She didn't know how she would be able to carry Percy back to camp without killing herself, since she could barely move herself. But she would try. She grabbed Percy's hand.
"Can you get up?" She whispered, hoping he would say yes. Or anything at all.

Percy didn't answer. He was too tired to even care that Maddie was trying to help him. Everything went black.

Maddie felt for a second like falling down and dying, but she reminded herself she couldn't until Percy was at least at camp. Then she would allow herself to die.
"Mmf..." Maddie struggled to pick up Percy.
She almost tipped over. Her heart was beating fast from trying to pick Percy up while dying. Maddie decided she had to get it over with. She ran as fast as she could without falling over, which was basically walking.

Maddie kept walking. She huffed and puffed. It was very hard, especially since most of her body was bent in a funny position. She finally made it to camp. She couldn't take it anymore. Even if she didn't want to, it was too late. She felt like she was dead before she hit the ground. Then she did. Percy came flying out of her arms as she fell on the ground. ( Spoiler alert! She isn't dead 🙂 )

Percy didn't respond when he hit the ground. He fell hard, and he had cuts all over his arms, and he had a large bruise over his eye.

Maddie made a loud, horrible cracking sound when she fell. Her body was like a dolls. Limp, and quite lifeless.
