Maddie wondered if she was going to get a vision. She hoped so, and hoped not at the same time.
"Show me something useful." She wished to Aphrodite.
She knew it was stupid, but her mom was a god, so she figured maybe she was some use.
"Please." She added. "Pretty please? With a cherry on top?"
She stared at the ceiling for a moment.

Maddie kept staring at the ceiling for nearly ten minutes. Then, something formed.....

Another boy came to the boy and girl. He was holding a metal sword. He tried to help the girl that screamed, but then there was another scream...one from a boy......

Maddie forced herself to keep watching the visions, but it was beginning to scare her. She knew who the girl was that got hurt. She knew who the boy and girl were. And worst....she knew who the boy was that tried to help her. Maddie kept watching.

The girl got up eventually, limping. The boy and the girl helped her back to camp...but Maddie never saw the boy again.

"Daniel," Maddie whispered. "Gods, no! I have to tell him!"

Percy was asleep in his cabin. He was having a nightmare.
In his dream, he was standing in a field with Annabeth. They were having a good time, and then the knife came. A figure on a black horse raced into the field, and it threw a knife at Annabeth.
Percy woke up with a jolt.

Maddie was hesitant to go tell Daniel, though. What if she was wrong? What if it was Leo, not Daniel? Oh, it would be even worse if it was Leo! Maybe the prophecy was wrong?....no, the prophecy is never wrong.

Maddie mustered a smile. She didn't ask why Percy was outside, because she figured he was out for the same reason she was. Maddie didn't say anything else. She walked straight to Annabeth's cabin. She was good at advice. Maddie knocked on the door.
