She looked half asleep, like she didn't know what was going on but she was still talking.
"C'mon, you'll feel better once you get to the infirmary."

Daniel thought for a moment, frowning. Then he snapped his fingers and smiled.
"I'll give you a piece of candy."
Maddie paused.
"Really?"
"Yep."
"Mm....ok. Fine."

"Yay!" Maddie cheered weakly as she laid down.
Daniel opened a pocket, and it looked like a gold-mine of candy.
"What kind do you like?"
Maddie picked a candy and nibbled on it.
