Maddie put her hands on her hips. She wasn't leaving here until everyone was alive.
"Hades, I really want you to see a magic trick. If you don't turn around, it will be a lot more unpleasant from the behind." Maddie said.

Maddie grinned.
"Ok, you see, I just hold on to this..." She said, grabbing the locket. "And I just open this..." She said, and flipped open the locket.
Unbearable winds filled the air, swishing everything. If anyone was a pound lighter, they would be swirling around.
"And voila! Asta lavista baby!" Maddie said, grinning.
Blinding lights filled everywhere, blowing Annabeth's chains, almost setting her free.

"Ah, contraire, my good friend. Or, my mortal enemy. Or immortal! HA HA! GET IT?!?! HA HA!!!" Maddie exclaimed, bursting into laughter.
As she laughed, the winds got harder. Maddie fell on the floor laughing. One of Annabeth's ropes broke. Maddie grinned.

Annabeth used her now free hand to pull her knife out of her pocket. She cut the rope the tied her hand to a pole. She ran to Maddie, Percy, and Leo.

Maddie ran up the stairs at lightning speed. She ran up the ditch and put Percy on the ledge first, pulled herself up, then picked Percy up again and ran to camp.

Maddie nodded, but she was pretty sure she wasn't going to be. Opening the locket twice in one day? It's pretty impossible to survive that. Maddie just grinned.
"I drove Hades to the break of madness.'' She said, smiling widely.

Maddie had a weird dream. She was standing in her cabin, and suddenly she felt weak. She started melting, and turning into sand. She cried for help, but no one listened. Then she heard a voice said,
"Maddie...come home...."
