"Why are all of you here?" Hera asked angrily.
"I was trying to steal a golden net from Hephaestus," Maddie said.
"...Why didn't you just ask?" Hephaestus asked.
Maddie rolled her eyes. "Didn't figure you'd say yes."

"Well, now we won't," Hermes said angrily.
"Cut her some slack," Hestia said quietly. "She's the one who died in the Revolutionary War, remember? When she was eleven?"

"I say we kill them," Hermes said. "They're not even giving us a reason for the golden net."
"Wait!" Maddie said, racking her brain for something vague but believable. "We're having a rat problem in our house."
"'Our?'" Aphrodite asked. "You and Leo live together?"
"Sure, why not," Maddie said. "And they chew through everything. We thought your powerful creations would help us, Hephaestus."
