A few days later, Maddie came back to camp. Her hair was literally black. She ran over to Chiron and explained something to him.
Some campers noticed, and murmured to each other.

"I'm right here," Chris said, sounding annoyed.
"And he somehow inspired you to sing that specific line?" Charlie grinned.

"Maddie, we didn't," Chiron said calmly. "It must have been someone else."
"Coincidentally right after we talked about it?!" Maddie demanded angrily.
"...What happened to your hair?" Chiron asked.
"Really?! Trying to change the subject by beating up on my bad hair?!" Maddie yelled.
"No, I'm serious," Chiron said. "It's black. How much were you shadow-traveling?"

"Uh...for what?" Chris asked.
"Accalia wants to sleep with you," Charlie sang. "Now she wants to kill me. Later." He ran off.
Chris's face turned bright red, and he looked away.

Celeste flinched, and turned around. "Oh...hey, Annabeth." She looked a bit frustrated as she sifted through papers with red ink.

"I may have messed up a friendship, but I just sparked a relationship," Charlie said. "You need a boyfriend. You're welcome."
