Charlie chased the Nemean lion for nearly a mile until he was finally able to tackle it and pin it to the ground. The beast clawed at his face viciously. "Annabeth, stab it in the mouth!"

The girl gasped. She whispered something like sorry, and began getting up.
"It's okay, just-" Charlie scowled, studying the girl.
She was staring at the ground so you couldn't see her face, but she had frizzy blonde hair tied into two ponytails. She picked up her books and got up. Charlie could finally see her face, and she had bright green with huge nerdy glasses.
"Maddie?!" Charlie asked.
"That's my name," the girl replied uneasily.

"Huh?" Maddie laughed. "Oh, no, I'm not a monster. Monsters go to Tartarus, right? Like that one you just stabbed, right there." She pointed to the pile of whitish yellow dust. "That was Nemean lion. Very clever, stabbing it in the throat. I always thought the only way to kill one was choking it, but what can I say? You learn something new every day." She smiled.
Charlie frowned. "You're not acting like yourself."
"I'm sorry, I just woke up here yesterday," she frowned. "Everyone keeps saying they remember me living here forever, but I don't remember any of these people. You two look sort of familiar, though..."

Charlie suddenly picked Maddie up and began carrying her to the ship.
"Ahh!!! Stranger danger! Stranger danger!" Poor Maddie squeaked. "I'm being kidnapped! HELP ME!!! AHH!!!"
No one seemed to pay attention.

"Shut up, Maddie," Annabeth muttered. She just walked with Charlie until she felt something brush up against he leg. She jumped, and realized it was just a cat.

Maddie screamed in horror. "Oh my gods! A cat! AHHH!!!"
Charlie eventually got back to the Argo III, and set Maddie down on the deck. "Leo, get over here!"
Maddie whimpered, and tried to run away, but Charlie could hold her back with just one arm.

Charlie raised an eyebrow. "You're seriously afraid of boys?"
Maddie tried to run away again, and Charlie had to handcuff her wrist. "Who's wearing the other handcuff? Not it."
"Not it!" Celeste shouted.

"I want to go home!" Maddie cried.
"Just calm down," Charlie said, taking Maddie's books from her.
"NOOO!!!! Not my books!" Maddie fell to the ground sobbing. "Not The Hunger Games! Gale is my fictional boyfriend!!!"
"Hey, Leo, remember when I was jealous about Maddie being your girlfriend?" Charlie asked, raising his eyebrow at Maddie. "You won't have to worry about that anymore."
