The shadow jumped out in front of the dagger, and said, "If you try to kill yourself, your going to have to kill me first..."

The shadow started fighting Heather from the inside, it said to her through her mind, :I'm trying to save you..." the shadow started gaining some control over Heather and tried pushing the dagger away.

Heather still had most of her left arm, she grabbed her right hand, the one with the dagger in it, and tried pulling it back towards her, pushing the blade so it faced towards her. She still fought. Heather threw herself forward a bit so she was laying in the shallow water of the pond in front of her.

The shadow moved Heathers right arm and slapped the dagger into the pond. It started using her arm to hold back the left arm.

"Please, Shadow!! I can't control myself!!" Heather was nearly in tears. She rolled herself deeper into the water, the surface coming up just above her eyes at times.
She was tiring and could barely fight back anymore..
