Maddie laughed. "Chris always scolded me and told me, 'Maddie, don't eat the bag of sugar. Maddie, if you die of a heart attack, we won't have anybody to make us sandwiches. Maddie, stop licking the floor because you spilled sugar on it. You'll throw up, and then your sandwiches will be all gross and diseased.' It's not my fault I make awesome sandwiches, anyway."

Maddie grinned. "Well, it wasn't entirely my fault. Abby kept shoving food in my face and forcing me to eat it. She told me it'd make me less depressing and I told her I wasn't depressing, and she just yelled, 'I don't care if you're a banana! Eat the sandwich or I'll shove it down your throat!' ...Now that I think about it, she wasn't really nice. Oh well."
