A man began speaking at the center of the room, but Maddie barely paid attention. She's been there before, after all. She stared at Charlie's face the whole time. He was pale and lifeless, with icy blue eyes rolled up in his head. He had get black hair and scorch marks on his left leg and arm. Maddie looked like she was trying not to sob.

Time began passing quickly. Everyone filed out of the funeral, wiping tears from there eyes. A young boy that looked like Daniel was walking with the crowd, and so was a teeny little girl that looked like Maddie.
The scene disappeared, and they were back in the woods, still wearing the black funeral dresses.

A few hours later, Maddie walked to the dining pavilion for dinner. She was still wearing the black dress stained in mud. Some kids were singing Christmas carols. Maddie hadn't realized it was the day before Christmas, but that just made her more mad. She couldn't even keep track of the days now?! That was just unfair.

Clair swam to the surface to see the campers arrive. "Their all so different... All special... Like me..." She said day-dreaming. Soon other mermaids swam up and Clair ended up tumbling out of the water, as she gasped for water, she realized her tail had turned to legs, she jumped up and ran around the shore like a chicken with her head cut off. She jumped back into the water, and her legs turned back into a tail, then she got out again.

Moon sat across from Maddie, since they were both children of Hades. Whenever Moon tried to talk, Maddie looked away, or mumble something rude.
"When are you going to stop being mad at me?!" Moon asked angrily.
"Around never," Maddie muttered.
