"Sometimes she acts like she's an adult...like she doesn't understand why I'm so upset," Maddie said. "And she's really smart, yet stupid. She trusts the wrong people, and distrusts the right people. She keeps asking for a family, and I don't think she understands I consider her and Leo as my real family, not my parents or my siblings. She doesn't understand anything."
