The next morning, Annabeth paced around in the woods. She heard a growl, and she turned around. She was face to face with a Nemean Lion. She grabbed her sword, and ran, but the lion tackled her to the ground, knocking her out. At that moment, everyone lost all their memories of Annabeth.

Hazel twirled her engagement ring. She went to find Percy. She found him in the infirmary. "Percy, found you!" she said and kissed him on the cheek. "Who's this?" she said, referring to the girl on the bed, knocked out.
