Annabeth didn't say anything. She wasn't tired at all, so she didn't try to fall asleep. She just stared at the branches of the tree above her, thinking.

Maddie fell asleep quickly, but had horrible nightmares all night. She woke up early in the morning, and realized she had murdered her teddy bear in her sleep.
"You are not an Octavian," Maddie told herself. "No killing teddy bears."

Maddie sighed, and cut open her arm. Another control panel was inside of her arm, similar to the one inside her leg. She stuck the screwdriver into one of the holes in the control panel, and turned it around a few times.
