Tears ran down Maddie's face. She clenched her fists, anger suddenly boiling up in her. "You think you 'have to do this'?! You have to leave me?! If you think no one but me will care, fine, maybe only I will care!! But am I suddenly not important?! I've been trying to be a good friend for a long time, but it's like whatever I do isn't enough. Fine. Just BE like that. To think I thought you were my friend."
She stormed off.
