Ariel cleared her throat. "Anyway. Being a Siren means you have to be responsible. Do you know what that means?"
"Uh... No?"
"Of course," Ariel scoffed. "It means you cannot let anyone know you're a Siren. No one should see you in your Siren form unless they are also a Siren. That means no swimming with others, you will have to quit your school swim team. Fake an injury or something. You will grow a tail if you're waist-deep in water. Every Thursday, Saturday, and Tuesday, we meet here at the cave. The first time you come it will be hard to find. After that, it is simple. The exact time you should be here at the cave is 3:05 PM. You cannot eat fish or sea food, you will become very ill. Other than that, you will never get sick for as long as you are a Siren. Occasionally, we will have missions. These include killing bad people, charming ships to crash, and if anyone comes too close to the cave, we must kill them. It does not happen often, but it would destroy the natural order."
