Maddie glared at Laiea, then looked back at Annabeth. "You think you're the only one who has cancer? You're not. I had cancer. My dad had cancer. My grandfather had cancer. But you just have to think about something else. Are you dying right now? No, but you're killing me by the way you're acting. The old you isn't gone, but it's buried somewhere. So why can't you just unbury it already?"
