Celeste followed Charlie, putting mints in her mouth to hide the scent of five Nutella cans.

"They wouldn't get up on their own," Charlie mumbled, setting Annabeth down in a chair and sitting down on purposely away from her.
Celeste sat down next to Charlie, forcing a cheerful smile.

"Maddie will now be involved in the quest," Chiron said. "It wasn't Hera this time, though. It must be somebody who knows Maddie."
"I always have to be involved," Maddie muttered. "Pretty much everybody who knows me hates me, so, this is exactly peachy."
Charlie rolled his eyes. "Well, you aren't exactly rainbows and sunshine."
"I don't care," Maddie said. "I never cared, really. But now, if it's somebody powerful..."

Maddie bit her lip, and didn't say anything.
"We still weren't really given that much information," Celeste said. "Can you explain it better, please?"
"We think it's something to do with Atlas," Chiron said.
"...I feel stupid I don't know what that is," Maddie said.
"In this case, I think Chiron means it's that dude who holds up the sky. What's he doing to Hera, though?" Celeste asked.
"Forcing the weight of the sky on her shoulder's instead of his," Chiron said.
"Doesn't the sky, like, weigh nothing, though?" Maddie said.
"Seems pretty sketchy to me," Charlie said under his breath. "Maybe Atlas is just pretending to hold up the sky to get attention on Tumblr or something."

"In a week or so, to see if we get any new information," Chiron said. "We haven't gotten any confirmation over if Annabeth or Charlie is supposed to go, so both of them will have to."
