Maddie saw Leo looked kind of red. She didn't know why. She thought he might be embarrassed, but if anything SHE should be. She was covered in mud and blood and she thought Leo heard her say a bad word. Either way, Maddie nearly ever got embarrassed, so she thought that explained it. But she didn't know about Leo. Probably because he had a mud splotch on him and he got embarrassed easily was Maddie's best guess.
