Maddie was sitting in a dark, empty room. Her arms and legs were chained to a chair, and her mouth was duct-taped. She looked like she was having a panic-attack, because she was rocking back and forth and breathing really fast.
"That doesn't look good," Celeste whispered.

Even though she tried to act angered, she looked like she was in pain. There was a scar on her neck that was bleeding, like someone had tried to slit her throat.

Maddie squirmed in the chair, and began writing on the dirt with her feet. After a few minutes, she had written, 'Athens, Greece.'

'Good,' Maddie wrote in the dirt. She began writing something else, but she heard footsteps. She covered up the writing with more dirt, looking terrified of whatever was coming.
Charlie's eyes widened. He grabbed an oxygen tank and hooked Annabeth to it.
