Annabeth spent most of her time in her cabin, trying to focus on things other than Maddie. She tried reading, or drawing blueprints, but focussing on that was too hard.

Silena couldn't help but feel guilty as she sat in her cabin with the dogs, even though she hadn't done anything yet. Yet. But she would have to in the near future.
Right before she came to Camp, she had a dream in which Gaea talked to her. "If you help me, you can live. You will be my helper and we can rule the world." She had laughed at her words right then, as if she didn't believe what she said.
"Change your name to Silena, Rose. They would never expect two traitors of the same name, now would they?" the sleeping face in the dirt had said, referring to Silena Beauregard. At the time, she was still Rose Montgomery. But she had been so scared that she had done Gaea's bidding and changed her name to Silena Malone.
Now, as she sat there in the snowy cabin, Silena's heart was slowly shrinking, and turning as hard and cold as stone. In the near future, no trace of the innocent Rose Montgomery would be left.
