Max's POV**
She's about to tell me something... Uh-oh. Not good. She sighs. And begins. "You aren't going to like this." Oh my gods... it must be about me.
"Fire away." Really, Max? Fire away? That's the best you can do?!
"Well, I'm, um, homosexual..." she cowers, like she's afraid of something. Me?
"No biggie."
She looks shocked. "No way. You're kidding, right? I thought you'd be, I don't know, upset."
"I was. At first. But, you love who you love. I can't change that. Homosexual or not, you're my best friend."
Tears come to her eyes. "Thank you." She gives me a hug, I don't do hugs, but she needs one, so whatever she wants, even if she'll never be mine. I almost sob. She doesn't know how much this hurts. I hold her tighter. "Can't'.......Breathe.... ...Let.......Go......."

Bridget fights her way out and slaps my head injury. "Um, OW!" I rub the injury and smile at her.
She smiles back and then a look of surprise and shock overcomes her face. "OH! You have to meet Rose!"
"Um, who?"
"Oh, my friend Rose, she's a daughter of Aphrodite. You should like her. Well, maybe not, she's kind of, really, girly. So, I guess you might not like her.... Oh well."
"Let's go meet her, then."
"Okay!" She leads the way to a small garden-like area, hard to find, almost impossible to find, really. There, I see a small girl, pretty, admiring the flowers.
Bridget walks up to her. "Rose, meet Max. He's my best friend, other than you, of course." She blushes slightly and I see that she likes Rose, more than friends. Poor girl, it's sad. Her life is sad. I feel horrible. If only Rose was like Bridget, homosexual, they could be happy together.

The old woman began to turn a sickly green, instead of red. "I-I don't need mouth wash!"
"Really?! It smells like something DIED in there!" Maddie shouting, looking amused.
"What could have died in my mouth?! I'm invincible! I never eat anything! What would you expect would've died in my mouth?!" The old woman exclaimed proudly, thinking she outsmarted Maddie.
"...I dunno, your soul?" Maddie suggested, smiling a bit.
The old woman looked furious, but she was growing weaker.
(Aw, okay, bye!)
Annabeth watched without saying anything. She hoped it would kill her.

"It's true." Annabeth said. "It really would be a lot better. I'd rather give up reading than stay with you."

"Uh... I don't know what to say." Leo said awkwardly.
"I'd rather date Percy again." Annabeth said angrily. "Even he would be better than this."

"Yeah." Annabeth said. "Really fun."
"That was so cool!!!" Leo said happily. His smile soon faded as he thought about his mom. He hoped Maddie didn't bring it up anytime soon.

"So... where are we going?" Leo asked, sounding a little sad, but it was hardly noticeable.

"Pizza isn't the only food they have in Italy, you know." Annabeth said.

"Maddie, why do you like Voldemort?" Annabeth asked. "He's the villain."
"They really have pizza vending machines?!" Leo asked.

Annabeth sighed, apparently not wanting to talk anymore.
"Of course you did that, Maddie." Leo laughed.

Leo laughed. "Yeah."
Annabeth remained silent. She just kept her head down, looking troubled.

Annabeth didn't say anything else. She looked scared, almost hesitant to follow Maddie any further.
