There was suddenly a loud roar in the woods, and Annabeth immediately took out her sword.

A large dragon jumped out of nowhere and started chasing Annabeth. Annabeth ran away as fast as she could, but the dragon was faster. The dragon shoved her to the ground, and held her there, its claw piercing her side.

Gia heard a roar and recognized it at once as a dragon. She rushed into the woods, only to see a humongous dragon on top of Annabeth. "NO!" she screamed. She used all the power she had to blow the dragon off and stabbed it.
