Maddie walked out of the Aphrodite cabin, looking demented. She was covered in blood, and her clothes were ripped up. She clenched her knife so tightly, her knuckles were white.

Maddie didn't say anything. She just stared at Annabeth, scowling. Her eyes didn't look normal, either. They looked like someone took a can of paint, and glazed Maddie's eyes over with red. Maddie suddenly threw her knife at Annabeth's foot.
