she stopped puzzled before walking to the forges, she stopped and watched. she wasn't a Hephaestus kid but people in her family (including her) did with mechanic work, mostly fork lifts, skitters, tractors and dirtbikes... the last one was more of a hobby.

Annabeth didn't come out of her cabin. She hated the dog that wouldn't leave her alone, and she hated being blind. She wanted to live a normal life, and simply be able to read a book, but she knew that was long gone. She sighed, giving up on trying.
