 Bunny potential exceeds potential limit

I have bred a Belier Teddy that has a potential of 101% of the maximum. When this happened yesterday I assume the potential limit had not updated with the birth of my bunny, but after the game was updated this morning my bunny's potential still exceeds the limit. Is this supposed to happen?

Cross-breeds are the result of mixing different parent genetics. Crossbreeding introduces a complexity that makes percentage calculations unreliable, which is why breeding games often choose to simplify or ignore the genetics of crossbreeds. This allows players to concentrate on other aspects of the game without worrying about the complexity of genetic crossbreeding.
